Privacy Policy

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, full name (if provided), and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Uploaded photos and media: Photos and videos you upload for inspection reports, including file metadata such as file size, MIME type, and upload timestamp. We do not automatically read embedded EXIF location data.

Inspection data: Property addresses, inspection notes, tenant/inspector names, area descriptions, and issue classifications you enter.

Payment information: Billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We receive and store your Stripe customer ID, subscription plan, and billing status.

Usage and technical data: IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and interactions with the service, collected for security and analytics purposes.

AI usage logs: Records of AI analysis calls including token counts and estimated costs, used for budget enforcement and service improvement. These records do not contain your photos.

Consent records: Timestamps and versions of legal agreements you accept, including Terms of Service acceptance and photo use consent.

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the StayProof service.
• Analyze uploaded photos using AI to generate property condition reports.
• Store and display your inspection data and reports.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
• Send transactional emails (e.g., account confirmation, billing receipts).
• Monitor and enforce usage limits, detect abuse, and ensure security.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We use de-identified and aggregated data (from which individual users cannot be identified) to improve our product, develop new features, and improve AI model capabilities. We will not use your identifiable photos or videos for AI model training unless you explicitly opt in.

You retain ownership of all photos and media you upload. We store them securely using Supabase Storage (hosted on AWS S3). Photos are private by default and only accessible to you and people you explicitly share a report with.

Photos are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI via signed URLs for analysis. Anthropic processes photos to generate inspection observations. Please see Anthropic's privacy policy for information on how they handle data.

We retain your uploaded photos as long as your account is active. If you delete an inspection or your account, we will remove associated photos within a reasonable timeframe, subject to applicable legal requirements.

We use the following third-party services to operate StayProof:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Anthropic — AI analysis of uploaded photos via the Claude API.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Vercel — hosting and serverless compute.
• Google — optional Google Sign-In authentication.

Each processor operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

We retain your account and inspection data as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will process the request within 30 days, deleting your personal information and User Content, except where retention is required by law.

Anonymized and aggregated data derived from your usage may be retained indefinitely for analytical and product improvement purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data from the Account page in the app. After submitting a deletion request, we will confirm receipt and process the deletion within 30 days.

If you only want to delete specific inspections or photos, you can do so directly within the app.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security in our database, access token authentication, and signed short-lived URLs for media access. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@stayproofai.com.

StayProof is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
