What is StayProof AI?+
StayProof AI is a property condition documentation tool. You upload photos of a rental or property, the AI identifies visible conditions and issues, and you get a timestamped PDF report you can use as evidence during move-in, move-out, or dispute resolution.
Does StayProof AI provide legal advice?+
No. StayProof AI helps you organize visual documentation. It does not provide legal, insurance, professional inspection, or property management advice. If you have a legal dispute, consult a qualified attorney.
How accurate are the AI-generated reports?+
The AI identifies visible issues in your photos but may miss things, misclassify conditions, or include items that are not actually problems. You should always review and edit the report before downloading it. The final PDF reflects your edits, not just the raw AI output.
Who can see my photos and reports?+
Only you can see your inspections and reports. We do not share your photos or reports with third parties without your consent. You can optionally enable a share link for a specific report — this link can be revoked at any time.
Can I use StayProof AI as a landlord / property manager?+
Yes. Landlords and property managers use StayProof AI to document the condition of a property before and after a tenancy, creating a clear record that helps resolve deposit disputes.
What types of properties work best?+
StayProof AI works with any residential or short-term rental property: apartments, houses, condos, Airbnb / VRBO listings, and hotel-style rooms. The more photos you take, the more complete the documentation.
What photo format and resolution should I use?+
Standard smartphone photos work well. JPEGs and PNGs are supported. For best results, take wide shots of each room and close-ups of any specific damage or pre-existing conditions.
How do I dispute a charge or cancel my subscription?+
Go to Account & billing from the user menu in the top right. You can manage your subscription there. If you have trouble, contact us at support@stayproofai.com.
Is there a free plan?+
Yes. The free plan lets you create one inspection report. Paid plans unlock unlimited reports and additional features. See the pricing page for details.
I found a bug or something isn't working. What should I do?+
Please contact us via the support form and select 'Bug / something broken'. Include as much detail as possible, including the inspection ID and a screenshot if you can.
